The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper Selected for Transformation Tech Grant

The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper has been selected for Transformation Tech by the Fund for Equity in Local News with support from the Google News Initiative. The program runs January
10-April 19, 2024.

Wane A. Hailes will join 39 other publishers from the Association for Alternative Newsmedia (AAN), the National Newspaper Publishers Association (aka “The Black Press”) (NNPA) and the
National Association for Hispanic Publishers (NAHP) in a 13-week program designed to help the Courier Eco Latino newspaper launch a digital revenue or growth opportunity.

Once completed he will receive a $20,000 grant from the Google News Initiative to fund the Courier Eco Latino’s digital transformation.
