COLUMBUS, Ga. — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting death of Sekedra McCoy, 38, at the Elizabeth Canty Homes.
Dejahn Glenn, 28, was taken into custody on Oct. 31 and is charged with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Glenn is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in Muskogee County Recorders Court on at 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 8.
The Columbus Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit led the investigation, with support from the Special Operations and Drone Units, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Real-Time Crime Center, which provided swift surveillance support.
McCoy was found by police suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on Oct. 30 at 200 20th Ave., and was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional, where she later died from her injuries.
