Funeral Arrangements Announced for Cecelia “CeCe” Howard

Funeral arrangements have been announced for Cecelia Sorice Howard, affectionately known to family, friends and the community as “CeCe.”

According to the family, public viewing hours have been extended and will take place Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, from 2 to 7 p.m. at First African Baptist Church, 901 Fifth Ave., Columbus.

The public is also invited to attend the Omega Omega Service, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.

A homegoing celebration honoring Howard's life and legacy will be held Monday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church, 225 Fifth St., Columbus.

Family, friends and members of the community are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of CeCe's life.
