You Will Come Out!
If there's one thing I've learned about God, it's this: He has never left His children trapped in what looked like the end. Every difficulty has an exit because every trial is under the authority of a God who specializes in making a way where there appears to be no way. The enemy may write the introduction to your struggle, but God always writes the final chapter.
Moses stood at the edge of the Red Sea with Pharaoh's army charging from behind. There was no bridge to cross, no boat to board, and no visible escape. To the natural eye, it was over. But God spoke to the impossible. The sea stepped aside, dry ground appeared, and what should have been Israel's grave became their highway to freedom.
Daniel spent the night in a den of hungry lions. The king expected to find bones by morning. Instead, he found a man who had slept peacefully because God had turned predators into pillows. The lions lost their appetite because heaven had already decided Daniel's story wasn't finished.
Three Hebrew boys were thrown into a fiery furnace because they refused to bow to a culture that demanded compromise. The fire was real, but so was God's presence. When they came out, they didn't even smell like smoke. The fire that was meant to destroy them became the stage upon which God displayed His power.
Jonah found himself in the belly of a great fish. It looked like the end, but God used what appeared to be a prison as transportation to his purpose.
Joseph was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, falsely accused, and forgotten in prison. Yet every setback became another step toward the palace. What others intended for evil, God used for good.
Lazarus had been dead for four days. The funeral was over. The mourners had gone home. The stone was sealed. Decay had already begun. But Jesus never asked how long Lazarus had been dead. He simply stood before the tomb and called his name. Death had no choice but to surrender. Lazarus walked out still wrapped in grave clothes because when Jesus calls you, even what has died must live again.
Notice the pattern. Through the sea. Out of the lion's den. Out of the furnace. Out of the fish. Out of the prison. Out of the grave. God has never run out of ways to bring His people out. So maybe your Red Sea is a financial crisis. Maybe your lion's den is depression, loneliness, betrayal, or fear. Maybe your furnace is criticism, sickness, or disappointment. Maybe your prison is addiction, regret, or the consequences of bad decisions. Maybe your grave is a dream you buried years ago because life convinced you it could never live again.
Hear me today. Your situation may be impossible for you, but it is not impossible for God. The same God who parted the sea still makes a way. The same God who shut the mouths of lions still protects His children. The same God who walked into the fire still stands beside you in yours. The same God who opened prison doors still breaks chains. The same Savior who called Lazarus from the grave is still speaking life over dead situations today.
This season is not your permanent address. This pain is not your permanent identity. This struggle is not your permanent testimony. God has not forgotten your name, your prayers, or your tears. So don't quit. Don't surrender to despair. Don't mistake a delay for a denial. Keep praying. Keep believing. Keep walking. Keep trusting. Because in God's timing, the sea will part, the lions will be silenced, the fire will lose its power, the chains will break, and the stone will roll away.
You are not going under. You are coming through. You are coming out. And by the grace, power, and promises of Almighty God... You will rise.
