Author, publisher and radio personality Wane A. Hailes will host a public meet-and-greet and book signing Saturday, July 18, at the Page-Doleman Complex, where readers will have an opportunity to purchase and have signed his newest inspirational book, A View From A Pew: Volume II.
The event will be held from 2 p.m to 5pm at the Page-Doleman Complex, 718 Eighth St., Columbus. Admission is free and open to the public.
Hailes, publisher of The Courier Eco Latino and host of "Wake Up in the Mornings with Wane" on WOKS as well as "A Stroll Down Memory Lane with Wane" on Saturday mornings, will meet with readers, discuss the inspiration behind the book and personally autograph copies.
Books will be available for purchase for $20.
A View From A Pew: Volume II continues Hailes' series of inspirational reflections that blend faith, personal experience and community engagement. The book explores themes of leadership, accountability, perseverance, relationships and purpose while encouraging readers to apply biblical principles to everyday life.
Drawing on decades of service in ministry, journalism and community leadership, Hailes offers practical lessons designed to challenge readers to embrace personal growth, strengthen their faith and lead lives of greater purpose. The collection addresses issues ranging from surrounding oneself with truth rather than flattery to remaining focused despite adversity, emphasizing that lasting transformation requires both reflection and action.
Written in Hailes' signature conversational style, the book combines storytelling, humor and spiritual insight with commentary on contemporary life. Its messages are intended to resonate with readers of all backgrounds, whether they are active in church, engaged in community service or simply searching for encouragement during life's challenges.
Hailes said the book is intended to remind readers that life's greatest lessons are often learned during moments of quiet reflection. "A View From A Pew: Volume II is more than a book," Hailes said. "It is an invitation to pause, reflect, grow and move forward with faith, hope and purpose."
Organizers encourage attendees to meet the author, hear the stories behind the writings and take home a signed copy for themselves or as a gift.
For Hailes, the central message remains simple: growth begins when people are willing to listen, reflect and act. Through faith, perseverance and intentional living, he believes individuals can become everything they were created to be.
