The Columbus Police Department will showcase cutting-edge drone technology during with a live demonstration of Brinc's Drones as First Responders program at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 in the Civic Center parking lot at 400 4th Street.
The event will highlight how Brinc drones enhance law enforcement capabilities by responding to 911 calls faster, documenting incidents more effectively, and improving safety for both officers and the community.
Designed for critical situations, the drones feature two-way audio communication, night vision for low-light operations, and the ability to deliver life-saving tools such as AEDs and Narcan. They also function as de-escalation tools, offering safer alternatives for handling emergencies.
The demonstration also will feature insight from Brinc representatives and CPD officials, who will discuss the drones' potential to assist in emergency negotiations, locate missing persons, and enhance transparency in law enforcement operations.
