Leadership Over Rhetoric: The Clear Choice for Columbus' Future READ MORE Opinion: The Choice Now Belongs to the Voters
As the campaign enters its final stretch before the June 16 mayoral runoff election, supporters of mayoral candidate Isaiah Hugley gathered Saturday for a "Women for Isaiah" rally at Hugley's campaign headquarters on Macon Road.

The event drew women from across the community who came together to organize, mobilize and encourage voter participation ahead of the runoff election. Community leaders, volunteers and supporters filled the headquarters, emphasizing the important role women play in civic engagement and grassroots organizing.

"When women organize, communities move," organizers told attendees as they highlighted the importance of voter turnout and community involvement during the final days of the campaign.
Several special guest speakers and community leaders addressed the gathering, expressing their support for Hugley and encouraging attendees to engage friends, family members and neighbors in the electoral process.

The rally focused on building momentum for the campaign through voter outreach efforts, volunteer recruitment and community engagement activities designed to increase participation in the upcoming election.
Early voting for the runoff election begins Monday, June 8, and continues through Friday, June 12. All early voting will take place at the City Services Center, located at 3111 Citizens Way in Columbus.
Organizers are also encouraging residents to participate in a "Stroll to the Polls" event Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Community members, along with representatives from social, civic and faith-based organizations, are invited to gather at the Columbus Public Library before walking together to the City Services Center to cast their ballots.
The June 16 runoff election will determine Columbus' next mayor following the May general election, in which no candidate received the majority vote required to win outright.
