NEW YORK — UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thomson was assassinated Wednesday morning in Midtown Manhattan, sending shockwaves through the business and healthcare
Ashlee Fields: “I’m not surprised. I’m laughing my - - - off. The last time America was ‘great’ in their eyes was pre-Civil War. So this tracks.”
A. J. Berry: “Fort Benning, Fort Lee, Fort Gordon, that’s what we know.”
Meika Davis: “I still call it Fort Benning, anyway.”
Dexter Nathaniel: “They can name these bases after aliens for all I care, as long as I get paid every 14 days.”
Dawana Brown: “I feel like it’s a waste of money, as well as the slap in the face to the previous effort and so-called aggression of our nation.”
Darryl Roberts: “My stance on changing names of the bases that were named after confederate soldiers: I think that it is a gesture to attempt to make some wrongs right. However, I look at it as a way to wipe out an important part of history. Changing the names of the bases is honorable, but does not change what actually took place.”
Laron Burkes: “Personally, changing back the names of all the military bases will not affect me any. I’m not military. My family’s not military. So, it’s not going to affect me or my family at all."
Tezzera Fields: “If they are going to change the names back to the original names, then what was the point of changing the names anyway?”
Jo Banks: “I don’t think we should have changed the name to begin with. There are far better ways for the military to spend money on things that soldiers and their families need, rather than changing a name. All the letterheads, maps, signs, etc., cost a tremendous amount, and didn’t benefit anyone. Some people still call it Fort Benning. So, it didn’t make a lot of difference to some. We need to learn to not fix things if they are not broken, and work on things that need fixing.”
