Thank You for Making Today's Author Showcase & Book Signing a Memorable Success

What an extraordinary afternoon!

My heart is filled with gratitude after today's Author Showcase & Book Signing celebrating the release of my newest book, A View From A Pew II. What we experienced today was much more than a book signing—it was a celebration of literacy, storytelling, fellowship, and the incredible talent that exists right here in our community.

First, I want to offer my sincere appreciation to Candice Robin Davis of Unfurl Digital Marketing. From the very beginning, Candice patiently guided me through the ever-changing world of social media and digital marketing. Her expertise, creativity, and encouragement helped transform an idea into a successful event. Thank you for believing in this vision and helping bring it to life.

To my longtime friend Oz Roberts, thank you for serving as our host with the professionalism, warmth, and excellence that have always defined you. You kept the afternoon moving while making every guest feel welcomed and appreciated.

A special thank you goes to Darryl Douglass of Zuridiem Productions for providing first-class video production that captured the spirit of the event with excellence. Your work added another level of professionalism that everyone noticed and appreciated.

To my bonus daughter, Brittney Jones, thank you for your unwavering support behind the scenes. Your willingness to help wherever needed made the day even more special.

Today's event was also the culmination of a journey that began months ago with our Courier Eco Latino Wednesday Authors series, Stories Behind the Stories. It has been one of the greatest honors of my career to introduce our community to such gifted writers.

Thank you to Jose Quinones, Dr. Tiesha Bryant, Dr. Christie Black-Murrell, and Brandy "Lade Breez" Elam for allowing us to share your stories, celebrate your books, and showcase your remarkable talents. Your willingness to inspire others through your words has enriched our community and reminded us all that stories have the power to educate, heal, encourage, and transform lives.

I was especially touched by the many kind words shared throughout the day. Seeing authors supporting authors, friends celebrating friends, and our community embracing local talent reminded me why this work matters. It truly takes a village to build a culture that values reading, writing, and lifelong learning.

To everyone who attended, purchased a book, stood in line for an autograph, offered words of encouragement, volunteered, promoted the event, or simply showed your support—thank you. Your presence made today unforgettable.

This was not the end of a journey—it was the beginning of another chapter.

Together, we proved that Columbus celebrates its authors, values its storytellers, and understands that books still have the power to change lives.

From the bottom of my heart...

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
