The Phenix City-Russell County Branch of the NAACP will host its Annual Freedom Fund Luncheon on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1 p.m. at the St. Luke Ministry Center, 301 11th Street, Columbus, Ga.
This year’s theme centers on empowerment and equity and will feature a keynote address from Pastor Thomas E. Jordan of Lilly Baptist Church in Montgomery, Ala. Jordan is widely recognized across Alabama for his leadership in both the faith community and the fight for civil rights.
“Our Freedom Fund Luncheon is more than a fundraiser — it’s a reaffirmation of our mission, a celebration of our progress, and a call to action,” said Shakea Miller, 2nd Vice President of the Phenix City-Russell County NAACP. “We welcome everyone to attend and stand with us in solidarity as we continue fighting for our children, families, community, and future.”
