Muscogee County Clerk's Office to Host Pop-Up Passport Event Sept. 12

The Muscogee County Clerk of Superior and State Courts Office will host a Pop-Up Passport Saturday event on Sept. 12 to provide convenient, walk-in passport application services for area residents and travelers.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, on the second floor of the Columbus Government Center, 100 10th St., Columbus, Georgia 31901.

The event is designed to make passport services more accessible by allowing individuals to apply for a new U.S. Passport Book or Passport Card without an appointment. Passport services will be available to anyone, regardless of whether they reside in Columbus or Muscogee County.

Applicants are encouraged to complete their passport applications before arriving by visiting travel.state.gov, which can help expedite the application process. Staff members from the Clerk's Office will be available throughout the event to review applications, verify required documentation, answer questions, and assist applicants in completing the process accurately.

Officials noted that standard U.S. passport fees will apply, and the event is not free. Walk-ins will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as space may be limited.

The Pop-Up Passport Saturday event is part of the Muscogee County Clerk's ongoing effort to expand access to public services by offering weekend hours and a convenient walk-in option for working adults, families, students, and first-time passport applicants.
