Muscogee County 2025 Property Tax Payment Deadline is Monday, December 1st

The Muscogee County Tax Commissioner’s Office is reminding residents that the deadline to pay 2025 property taxes is Monday, Dec. 1, 2025.

Payments may be made in person at the Tax Commissioner’s Office, located at 3111 Citizens Way, Columbus, GA 31906. The office is normally open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but will extend its hours on the deadline day, operating from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 1, to accommodate taxpayers.

Accepted payment methods include cash, checks, money orders, and credit or debit cards. A 2.5% service fee is applied to card transactions. Mailed payments must be postmarked by Dec. 1, 2025, to avoid late penalties.

Property taxes may also be paid online at columbusga.gov/taxcommissioner.

The Tax Commissioner’s Office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 27, and Friday, Nov. 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Residents are encouraged to plan ahead to ensure timely payment.
