The Muscogee County Clerk of Superior and State Courts Office will host its annual Notary Training Event on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Columbus City Council Chambers inside the Citizen Service Center on Macon Road.
Open to all Georgia residents, the event is designed for those interested in becoming a notary public or seeking a better understanding of their current notarial responsibilities.
Titled “Becoming a Georgia Notary,” the educational sessions will take place at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., with attendees encouraged to choose one session. Both will be held in the Council Chambers on the second floor of the C.E. “Red” McDaniel City Service Center, located at 311 Citizens Way, Columbus, GA 31906.
Led by experienced court officials, the sessions will provide step-by-step guidance on the notary application process, outline legal obligations, and clarify the duties of a Georgia notary public. Presenters will also be available to answer questions from attendees.
“This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to serve their community with integrity and professionalism,” said Danielle Forte, Superior Court Clerk. “Whether you're applying for the first time or need a refresher on your duties, this event will give you the tools you need.”
The event is free and open to the public. No pre-registration is required, but space is limited, and early arrival is recommended.
