Roslyn Giles is an award-winning journalist with WTVM News Leader 9 and WXTX FOX 54 whose career has been defined by credibility, versatility and a strong connection to the communities she serves. Giles anchors the 7:30 p.m. newscast on WTVM News Leader 9 and the 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. newscasts on WXTX FOX 54, making her one of the most recognizable and trusted faces in television news across the Chattahoochee Valley.

Giles began her journalism career in her hometown of Greenville, Mississippi, at WXVT-TV 15 in the early 1990s. There she served as a reporter, anchor and host of a public affairs program, gaining valuable experience covering community issues and developing her on-air presence.

In 1996, Giles moved to Columbus, Georgia, where she joined WRBL-TV 3 as the Opelika bureau chief reporter. That same year, her reporting contributed to an Associated Press Award for Best Coverage during the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games.

After nine years in television news, Giles briefly stepped away from the newsroom to pursue a career in real estate before returning to journalism as a freelance reporter. In August 2009, she joined WTVM News Leader 9 as a full-time reporter and later became a weekend anchor.

Her work has earned numerous honors, including the Georgia Marshal Network’s Outstanding Media Award in 2014 and a Georgia Association of Broadcasters merit award in 2021 for Best Pandemic Coverage.

A graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in broadcast journalism, Giles also studied internationally in Jamaica. Beyond the newsroom, she is a sought-after speaker, community volunteer and devoted wife and mother of three.
