Local Black Media Schedules Meet the Candidates Forums for April

Save the date for a series of Meet the Candidates Forums scheduled for April. Leaders from area minority civic and social organizations will serve as panelists during the events. The forums will be held in the City Council Chambers located in the City Services at 3111 Citizens Way Columbus, Ga.

Members of the community’s Black media said the forums will follow the same format used in previous years, designed to provide voters with direct access to candidates and clear, issue-focused discussions ahead of the upcoming election.

The forums will be moderated by Geniece Granville, vice president and general manager of Davis Broadcasting Inc., and Wane A. Hailes, president and publisher of The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper.

Each forum will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast live on AM 1340/94.1 WOKS and K92.7. The events will also be livestreamed on The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper’s Facebook page, allowing broader community access to the discussions.
