Letter From the Editor: The Fountain City Classic Owes Me Nothing

Letter From the Editor: The Fountain City Classic Owes Me Nothing

After a weekend filled with fun, food and fandom I was left absolutely exhausted. Last weekend was my first time experiencing the Fountain City Classic and all it had to offer. I went in thinking that the weekend would just be a football game, boy was I wrong.

I began my weekend by attending the Cufflinks and Pearls networking event. It was very informative and I enjoyed meeting with and hearing from other people my age in the business world. Friday was a night to remember as I attended the Davis Broadcasting Sneaker Ball. Though I do not actually own a pair of sneakers (please don’t judge me), I still had a great time. It was nice to see people of all ages come together and have a good time. I felt like I was at a family function as the old- school songs played and so many people helped me get into the rhythm of the music I didn’t know.

I finished off the weekend by heading to the tailgate and football game on Saturday. Let’s just say I will know to get there EXTRA early next year. I am not a big football fan, but I loved the tailgating festivities. That weekend was definitely one for the books. I already can’t wait for next year!
