Students from Kendrick High School have earned statewide recognition after placing third in the 2025 Georgia School Boards Association Student Video Contest for their entry, “School Saved My Life,” Muscogee County School District officials announced.
The student film team, led by instructor Nicole Jones-Harper, was selected from a competitive field of submissions from across Georgia. The video was also featured during the Winter GSBA/Georgia School Superintendents Association Annual Conference on Dec. 5, 2025.
District leaders said the honor highlights both the students’ creativity and technical skill, as well as the instructional leadership behind Kendrick High School’s film program.
“We are incredibly proud of Ms. Jones-Harper and her students for this remarkable accomplishment,” Superintendent David F. Lewis said. “Their work reflects the talent, dedication and innovation flourishing within Muscogee County schools and specifically within Kendrick High School.”
The Muscogee County School District congratulated the Kendrick High School film students on the achievement and thanked them for their continued commitment to excellence in the arts.
Harper-Jones and the student film team are scheduled to be formally recognized at the Muscogee County School Board meeting on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025.
