Funeral services for veteran journalist, attorney, and former Columbus Ledger-Enquirer Executive Editor Ben Holden will be held Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Fourth Street Missionary Baptist Church in Columbus.
A public visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 19, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Huff's International Funeral Home.
Holden, who served as executive editor of the Ledger-Enquirer from 2004 to 2010, died Wednesday after suffering a heart attack. Throughout his distinguished career, Holden worked as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal, practiced law in California and Georgia, and later served as director of the Donald W. Reynolds National Center for the Courts & Media.
Family members, friends, former colleagues, and community leaders are expected to gather to celebrate Holden's life, legacy, and contributions to journalism, the legal profession, and the Columbus community.
