The Links Incorporated and Davis Broadcasting, Inc. hosted a Family Wellness Expo and City-Wide College Fair on Saturday, March 28, bringing together health professionals, educators and community leaders for a day of service and support.
The event was held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Piedmont Conference Room, located at 710 Center Street, and attracted families and students from across the region.
Attendees received free medical screenings and access to valuable health education resources aimed at promoting overall wellness. In addition, representatives from colleges and universities were on hand to assist students and parents with the college admissions process, offering guidance on applications, enrollment and available academic programs.
Financial aid experts also provided information and one-on-one assistance, helping families better understand scholarship opportunities, grants and the steps required to secure funding for higher education.
Organizers said the event was designed to address both the physical health and educational advancement of the community, emphasizing the importance of access to resources that can improve quality of life and expand opportunities for future success.
The expo reflected a continued commitment by community partners to inform, empower and uplift residents through outreach initiatives that meet critical needs in health and education.
