Don’t Fight the Crow—Fly Higher

Did you know the eagle really only has one natural enemy? And it’s not what you think. It’s not something bigger. It’s not something stronger. It’s not something that can outfly it. It’s a crow.

Now the crow doesn’t come with power… it comes with persistence. It doesn’t attack with strength… it attacks with irritation. That crow will land right on the eagle’s back… and start pecking at its neck… over and over…not to destroy it—just to wear it down.

Sound familiar? Some of you aren’t dealing with enemies that can defeat you… you’re dealing with people that are just trying to drain you. Pecking… provoking… pushing buttons… hoping you’ll come down to their level.

But here’s what blessed me when I learned this…The eagle never fights the crow. It doesn’t turn around. It doesn’t argue. It doesn’t waste energy trying to explain itself. It just… spreads its wings… and goes higher. Higher… and higher… and higher…until the air gets thin.

See, there’s a level the crow cannot survive in. There’s an altitude irritation cannot breathe in. There’s a place where nonsense loses its power. And without a fight… without a word…the crow falls off.

Can I tell you something? Everybody doesn’t deserve your response. Everybody doesn’t deserve your energy. Everybody doesn’t deserve access to your peace. Some people aren’t assigned to your destiny…they’re assigned to your distraction. And the mistake we make…is thinking we have to fight everything that bothers us.

No…some battles aren’t meant to be fought—they’re meant to be outgrown. So, when they talk…when they poke…when they try to pull you down…Don’t come down. Go up. Go higher in your thinking. Higher in your discipline. Higher in your purpose. Higher in your faith.

Because the truth is—what can survive at ground level can’t always survive at elevation. And sometimes the reason God is calling you higher…is not just to bless you…but to separate you from what’s been bothering you.

So stop fighting the crow. And start flying like the eagle you were created to be. Because the higher you go…the quieter it gets…the clearer you see…and the less your distractions can breathe.

And that, my friends…is how you win without ever throwing a punch.
