Davis Broadcasting, Inc. and The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper will host the first installment of their 2026 Candidate Forum Series on Thursday, April 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at the City Services Center, 3111 Citizens Way.
The opening forum will feature candidates seeking election to Columbus City Council Districts 1, 3, 5 and 7.
Leaders from minority civic, faith-based, business and social organizations across the region are expected to serve as panelists, posing questions focused on key issues impacting the community. Organizers said the forums will follow a format used in previous election cycles, emphasizing direct engagement between candidates and voters, as well as issue-based discussion.

“This series is designed to ensure voters have clear access to the candidates and their positions on the issues that matter most,” organizers said in a joint statement.

The forums will be moderated by Geniece Granville, vice president and general manager of Davis Broadcasting, Inc., and Wane A. Hailes, president and publisher of The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper.
All forums will be broadcast live on WOKS AM 1340/94.1 FM and K92.7, and livestreamed on The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper’s Facebook page, expanding access for residents across the region.
Organizers encouraged community members to attend and participate in what is expected to be a robust and informative series of discussions leading up to the May 19 election.
