Courier Eco Latino Newspaper, Davis Broadcasting, Inc. Announce April “Meet the Candidates” Forums Ahead of May 19 Election

The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper and Davis Broadcasting, Inc. announced a series of “Meet the Candidates” forums scheduled for April, offering voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates ahead of the May 19, 2026 election.

The forums will be held in the City Council Chambers at the City Services Center, 3111 Citizens Way in Columbus. Each session will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

Leaders from minority civic, faith-based, business and social organizations across the region will serve as panelists, submitting questions designed to focus on key issues affecting the community.

Organizers said the forums will follow a format used in previous election cycles, emphasizing direct candidate engagement and issue-based discussion.

“This series is designed to ensure voters have clear access to the candidates and their positions on the issues that matter most,” organizers said in a joint statement.

The forums will be moderated by Geniece Granville, vice president and general manager of Davis Broadcasting, Inc., and Wane A. Hailes, president and publisher of The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper.

All forums will be broadcast live on WOKS AM 1340/94.1 and K92.7, and livestreamed on The Courier Eco Latino Newspaper’s Facebook page to expand community access.

Organizers encouraged residents to save the date and participate in what is expected to be a robust and informative series of discussions leading up to Election Day.
