Courier Eco Latino Launches New “Sunday Edition” Newsletter

The Courier Eco Latino, the region’s longest-running bilingual publication serving Black and Brown communities, will officially launch its Sunday Edition this weekend — a new digital newsletter designed to empower, inform, inspire, educate, and elevate readers across the Tri-City area.

The Sunday Edition will deliver original reporting, in-depth interviews, and thought-provoking commentary every week, offering readers a deeper connection to the people, issues, and organizations shaping our communities.

“Our goal is to make Sunday reading meaningful again — something that feeds both the mind and the spirit,” said Courier Eco Latino Publisher Wane A. Hailes. “This platform continues our mission to highlight stories that matter to us and reflect our collective voice.”

In This Week’s Inaugural Issue

  • A Sunday Conversation with Robbie Branscombe – The Executive Director of the Fountain City Classic reflects on 35 years of tradition, unity, and the game’s enduring impact on HBCUs and the Columbus community.
  • Muscogee County Young Democrats President Addresses Allegations – Sam Whitt responds to recent concerns about the organization’s direction and leadership credibility.
  • Girls Inc. Launches “Sweater Weather Swap & Shop” – A new fundraising event invites the community to turn closets into change while empowering local girls.
  • A Sunday View from a Pew: “The World Will Never Be Colorblind” – A reflective column exploring race, faith, and the myth of colorblindness in America.
  • Spotlight on Girls Inc. Alumnae Melinda Tolbert – A profile of an inspiring Columbus native who embodies the strength, intelligence, and boldness fostered by Girls Inc.

The Courier Eco Latino Sunday Edition will be available online every Sunday morning, continuing the paper’s two-decade tradition of uplifting stories and advocacy for equity and community empowerment. Subscribe to receive our Sunday Edition newsletter for free at couriernews.org
