Columbus State University appointed Breana Jones as the new executive director of its Leadership Institute, effective Jan. 13. Jones, who has spent eight years with the institute, will lead strategic planning, program development and client engagement to ensure the organization’s growth and alignment with the university’s mission.
“Breana’s extensive experience with the Leadership Institute equips her to drive its future success,” said Shana Young, Assistant Vice President for Community Engagement. The institute serves diverse sectors across the Southeast, providing leadership development and consulting services.
Jones joined the Leadership Institute in 2017 and was promoted to assistant director a year later. She holds a master’s in public administration from CSU and a bachelor’s in public relations from Florida A&M University.
