A Columbus man is in custody following a domestic kidnapping incident that resulted in multiple charges and the resolution of several outstanding warrants, according to the Columbus Police Department.
Raheem Conley was arrested on Nov. 25, 2024, after a coordinated effort between the department’s Violent Crimes Unit and Patrol Services. The investigation began when officers responded to reports of an altercation at a residence in the 1200 block of Alta Vista Road.
Police say Conley forcibly removed his girlfriend and her teenage son from their home during a domestic dispute. The woman managed to escape and alert authorities, but her teenage son remained in Conley’s custody. Officers swiftly located and apprehended Conley, safely reuniting the teenager with his mother.

In addition to these charges, Conley’s arrest cleared four outstanding warrants for aggravated assault, felony theft by taking, misdemeanor battery (family violence), and misdemeanor criminal trespassing.
