Columbus Man Arrested on Multiple Felony Charges in Assault Case

A Columbus man has been arrested on multiple felony charges following an investigation into the reported sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl, according to police.

Officers with the Columbus Police Department responded to a missing person report at a local residence around 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 24, 2025.

The teenager returned home later that morning around 11 a.m. and reported she had been assaulted while she was away.

The department’s Special Victims Unit took over the investigation, which led to arrest warrants being issued for 51-year-old Keith Lowe. Authorities took Lowe into custody without incident on Feb. 10.

Lowe faces multiple felony charges, including:

• Rape
• Cruelty to Children (1st Degree)
• Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes

Lowe is scheduled to appear in Recorder’s Court on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 8 a.m. The investigation is ongoing.
