Columbus Chapter of Jack and Jill Unveils Legacy Book Honoring Charter Members

The Columbus, Georgia Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. marked a historic milestone on Sunday, May 4, with a celebration honoring the 17 visionary women who served as charter members and laid the foundation for the chapter’s enduring legacy.

During the commemorative event, the chapter unveiled its inaugural Our Children, Our Legacy book — a beautifully designed publication that documents the chapter’s rich history, core values and lasting impact on the Columbus community.

Chapter President Gina Daise said the book serves as both a tribute and a teaching tool, preserving the stories of those who built the chapter while inspiring future generations of mothers and children. Leaders of the organization emphasized that the publication reflects the strength and commitment of its members, past and present.

“The legacy of our charter members lives on through every initiative we lead and every child we support,” said Pamela Watson, chairperson of the event. “This book is more than a record of our past — it’s a roadmap for our future.”

Juanita Booker, one of the charter members, called the moment deeply emotional.
“It is so wonderful to see that what we started so many years ago still continues to impact the lives of our children. The organization is in good hands for generations to come,” she said.
