Question: What inspired you to start Prettee Lady Baking in 2023?
Answer: I was inspired to start Prettee Lady Baking through the feedback I received from making treats for Teacher’s Appreciation Week. I have been baking since my childhood and always had a passion for it. The feedback and support I received from my family, teachers and passion is what led to the creation of Prettee Lady Baking.
Question: What makes Prettee Lady Baking’s treats different from other baked goods?
Answer: The difference between Prettee Lady Baking and other baked goods is the genuine love presented through presentation, quality of fresh ingredients, interactions and style of each baked good. Prettee Lady Baking prides itself on following a vision of leaving clients with memorable moments while ensuring the taste of love in every bite.
Question: How do you come up with new recipes or flavor combinations?
Answer: I think of new flavors by taking the recipes I acquired over four generations and combining it with the modern times. I also have conversations with my family, friends and customer challenges. For example, I have regular customers that consider my caramel pecan cookie to be their favorite cookie. One day, one of them challenged me to create a banana pudding cookie. I did my research, incorporated my four generational knowledge, used the best ingredients, and presented the finished product to them. Now, they consider my banana pudding cookies to be their favorite.
Question: What challenges do you face as a baker, and how do you overcome them?
Answer: As a baker, my biggest challenge was managing my time. I was able to overcome this challenge by creating prep times and with the help and the support from my family, with packaging and labeling.
Question: What advice do you have for people who would like to become a baker or business owner?
Answer: Do your research, stay positive, and let your passion be your motivation to see your dream through.

Answer: Next for Prettee Lady Baking is launching our website and to continue expanding the business. Prettee Lady Baking has new flavors in the works for cakes, cookies, and more!
