A View from a Pew... Born with the Recipe: Turning Lemons into Lemonade
Life, in all its unpredictability, has a way of serving us a cold, sour pitcher of lemons. Financial trouble, broken
Celebrity chef and entrepreneur Tim Morgan, known as “The Homeless Millionaire Chef,” will headline an exclusive business and lunch experience hosted by community organizers Pam Hovey and David Viers on Monday, May 19.
The event, billed as the Business Planning Session & Gourmet Lunch Experience, will take place from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. at APCU, located at 6270 Bradley Park Drive in Columbus. The luncheon will feature gourmet cuisine prepared by Morgan, founder of Tim Morgan Catering & Events LLC in Atlanta and the nonprofit Aprons for Change.
“This is more than a meal — it’s about feeding purpose, strategy, and hope,” said Pam Hovey, founder of Unity with Pam. “Having Chef Tim Morgan join us makes this gathering even more powerful. His story of resilience and purpose deeply aligns with the spirit of our mission.”
Morgan, once homeless, has become a sought-after chef and speaker. He now operates both a catering business and a philanthropic initiative aimed at inspiring and uplifting underserved communities through culinary arts and personal development.
The luncheon also serves as a preparation session for a larger upcoming Unity with Pam milestone event to be held later this year at the Columbus Civic Center. Organizers say the May 19 gathering is designed to bring together entrepreneurs, community leaders, and visionaries to strategize for impact — all over a curated, chef-driven menu.
“I’m honored to be a part of this movement,” Morgan said in a statement. “I cook with a purpose, and anytime I can share my story while serving great food, it’s a blessing.”
Media outlets are invited to attend and capture what organizers describe as “an inspiring and flavorful moment of unity.” RSVP is requested by May 15. For press inquiries, interviews, or coverage coordination, contact 706-325-6282 or visit www.UnitywithPam.org.
