Carver High to Celebrate Back-to-Back State Championships

George Washington Carver High School will host a community celebration Saturday honoring the school’s historic back-to-back state championship achievement.

The celebration is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2026, at the school’s baseball field, located at 3100 8th St. Student-athletes, coaches, school staff, families, alumni, and community supporters are expected to attend, along with members of the Muscogee County School District leadership and Board of Education.

School officials said the event will recognize the championship team and highlight the collective effort behind the milestone, including the dedication of student-athletes, the leadership of coaches and staff, and the support of families and the broader Carver community.

The program will include remarks and special recognitions celebrating the team’s journey and the significance of the back-to-back titles, which underscore the school’s commitment to excellence, discipline, and student achievement.

Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the event, which organizers say reflects school pride and the strong community support surrounding Carver High’s athletic and academic programs.
