Behind the Words Series Continues with Focus on Men's Mental Health

Honest conversations about healing, emotional wellness and the experiences men often keep hidden will take center stage during the next installment of the Behind the Words: The Conversation Continues author dialogue series.

In recognition of Men's Mental Health Month, the event will feature Dr. Walter Taylor in a discussion centered on men's mental health, healing, relationships and personal growth. The program is designed to raise awareness, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, and encourage open conversations about emotional well-being.

Hosted by author Candice Robin D. Davis, the dialogue will explore the challenges many men face as they navigate vulnerability, trauma, identity, relationships and the journey toward healing. Organizers say the event will provide a welcoming environment where participants can engage in meaningful conversation and reflection.

"This conversation goes beyond the pages of a book," organizers said. "It creates space for honesty, understanding and healing by addressing the stories many people carry but rarely share."

Participants can expect discussions on topics including men's mental health, gender expectations, emotional wellness, trauma, resilience and healthy relationships. The program will also include opportunities for audience engagement, personal reflection and practical takeaways that attendees can apply to their own lives.

The event is open to anyone seeking a deeper understanding of mental health, stronger relationships and personal growth through authentic dialogue.

Behind the Words: The Conversation Continues is a three-part dialogue series that examines healing, relationships, mental health and the stories people carry beyond the pages of a book. Through conversations with authors, mental health professionals and community leaders, the series aims to foster reflection, connection and community healing.

Organizers also noted that a portion of donations collected during the event will help provide financial assistance for individuals seeking mental health counseling. Through a partnership with Unfurl Digital Marketing, proceeds will help offset therapy copayments for those in need, expanding access to professional mental health services within the community.
