A Tuesday View from a Pew: When Your Turn Doesn’t Match Your Time

Let me help somebody today who’s frustrated, irritated, and agitated because you’re watching everybody else get blessed while you’re still standing in line. You’re scrolling through social media seeing engagements, promotions, open doors, new homes, new businesses, new opportunities—and you’re thinking to yourself, “Lord, did You forget about me?”

But hear me clearly: it might be your turn, but it might not be your time.
And yes—it might be your time, but God hasn’t called your turn yet.

Let me break that down the way the Holy Ghost gave it to me.

When it’s your turn, you are next in line. You’re positioned. You’re close. You’re near the front. But being next doesn’t mean being now. Being close doesn’t mean being chosen—not yet.

When it’s your time, the blessing is ready… but you may not be. The door is prepared… but your character isn’t. The opportunity is set… but your spirit still needs seasoning. God won’t put you on a platform your integrity can’t hold.

Time without turn leads to frustration.
Turn without time leads to failure.
But when God aligns the two—blessings flow like rivers.

What God Has for You Has Your Name Engraved on It

Spiritually speaking, what God has for you is for you—not almost you, not kinda you, not the discounted version of you—the real, healed, transformed, matured you.

And what He has for your neighbor is for them. That’s why comparing your chapter 3 to someone else’s chapter 12 will steal your joy faster than the enemy ever could. You can't walk into someone else’s grace, carry someone else’s mantle, or operate under someone else’s anointing.

Your blessing is custom cut.
Your purpose is hand-stitched.
Your calling is heaven-tailored.

God didn’t do a mass production on destiny—He crafted yours individually.

God Isn’t Just Preparing the Blessing—He’s Preparing You

This is the part we don’t want to talk about:
Preparation feels like punishment when we don’t understand purpose.

But God is setting things in motion that you can’t see yet.

He’s not delaying you—He’s developing you.
He’s not ignoring you—He’s igniting you.
He’s not punishing you—He’s positioning you.

God may be clearing the room, removing the wrong voices, shutting the wrong doors, and even breaking up some relationships because they can’t go where you’re headed. Some people were part of your journey but not part of your destiny. Some folks were seasonal—don’t make them permanent.

When God is getting ready to bless you, He will start rearranging your life like furniture until everything is in divine order.

“He May Not Come When You Want Him…”

Oh, but when He does show up—
When He steps into the situation—
When He calls your name and declares “Now!” over your life…

You won’t walk into that blessing—you’ll fit it.
You won’t stumble into that opportunity—you’ll be ready for it.
You won’t fumble that door—you’ll walk through it like you were born for it.

Because you were.

God doesn’t run on your clock. He doesn’t operate by your deadlines. He’s not intimidated by the calendar or pressured by your impatience.

He may not come when you want Him,
He may not come how you expect Him,
He may not come through the people you thought He would use…

But when He does come—He will be right on time.

 So Hold On in the Waiting Room

Don’t lose your worship while you wait.
Don’t silence your praise while you prepare.
Don’t let impatience push you out of position.

If it’s not your turn, keep serving.
If it’s not your time, keep sharpening.
If the blessing hasn’t come, keep believing.

Because when God aligns your turn with your time,
doors will open that no man can shut,
favor will find you that no enemy can block,
and blessings will overflow that no circumstance can contain.

And you’ll look back and say with tears in your eyes and gratitude in your heart:

“Lord, You were right on time.”
